Thoughts on this “SSEN’s Worker Camps & Mega Pylons – Have Your Say!
SSEN plans to build two massive workers camps near Broadford, housing 800 temporary workers to construct a new power line to the mainland. These camps would almost double Broadford’s population overnight, raising major concerns about industrialisation, pressure on services, and disruption to daily life.
At the same time, SSEN’s mega pylons project threatens to scar Skye’s iconic landscape, putting tourism, the environment, and communities’ wellbeing at risk.
