Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron is supporting NFU Scotland in its call for the public to take extra care of livestock when out walking, particularly with dogs.

Mr Cameron said: “Although the Covid-19 pandemic has led to many of us staying away from our workplaces, farmers and crofters have no option but to spend time outside looking after their animals.  This is a very busy time for them as we are entering the lambing and calving season."

“So let’s extend to them the same consideration that we do to all the other people who are being called on to work especially hard during these very challenging times.”
