Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron has said that he shares the frustration of Mull and Iona residents with the failure of SNP ministers to resolve a dispute over the purchase of a catamaran for the Oban to Mull route.

The Scottish Conservative MSP said: “The people of Mull and Iona join the long and  ever-growing list of Argyll and Bute residents who have been let down by the SNP Government when it comes to transport links.  Whether it’s promises on ferries, a permanent solution for the A83, or the delivery of broadband, we have grown used to broken promises from SNP politicians."

“Ironically, the Mull and Iona Ferry Committee issued their statement demanding action on this vital infrastructure matter on the very day that the SNP published their bill for a second independence referendum."

“There, in a nutshell, you can see the sharp contrast between the priorities of local people, and the priorities of SNP politicians.”
