Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron is encouraging residents in the Western Isles to sign up for a new Coastal Flood Warning System.
Mr Cameron said: “In recent years we have been experiencing more and more extreme weather events which makes the introduction of this new service very timely."
“Low lying parts of the Western Isles are particularly vulnerable so it makes perfect sense for local residents here to be given as much warning as possible in the event of a threat of flooding.”
