Highlands and Islands Scottish Conservative MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston said:
“I am pleased that, as a result of record UK Government funding, key Scottish Conservative demands on income tax and NHS spending have been met in the Scottish budget. That is undoubtedly good news and to be welcomed."
“What is much less welcome is that the SNP has failed to deliver 100% rates relief for the full year despite having all the funding they need."
“The failure to get cash to businesses in need has been a hallmark of the Scottish Government, with the resulting pressures threatening jobs and livelihoods."
“And the Scottish Government, despite the ongoing health emergency and economic shock, have failed to rule out yet more taxpayer cash on another divisive independence referendum.”
