The success of Dingwall-based WoodBlocX Ltd has been highlighted at the Scottish Parliament.

Founded in 2012, WoodBlocX has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, receiving the prestigious award in recognition of their success in manufacturing a unique modular system of wooden blocks for use in garden design which are exported to several countries across Europe.

Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston, who is submitting a motion to Parliament congratulating the company on its success, said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to highlight the success of this local company.

“It’s a measure of WoodblocX’s success that they were just one of 14 winners across Scotland of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, and one of just 141 winners across the whole of the UK recognised for their success in International Trade.

“It is a very significant milestone and I wish everyone at WoodBlocX every possible success as they continue to grow their business in the future.”
