The “Eat Out to Help Out” discount scheme has been so successful that Highlands and Islands MSP Donald Cameron is urging local people to keep to the habit if they can, even though the scheme ends today (Monday 31st August).
Mr Cameron said: “I have been very impressed at how well-received the Chancellor’s scheme has been here in the Highlands and Islands."
“Our region is rightly renowned for its hospitality so it‘s not entirely surprising that there has been such an enthusiastic response locally. But I would encourage customers, where they can, to keep up the habit because it really will help local businesses during what is still a challenging time for many."
“As well as enjoying an excellent meal you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you could be making all the difference for a local employer.”
