Commenting on reports that Scottish Government ministers are facing a £5m claim over what has been described as ‘a secret deal’ leading to the nationalisation of Ferguson Marine, Highlands and Islands Scottish Conservative MSP Donald Cameron said:
“It’s no wonder that local people are so frustrated by these ongoing shenanigans which have delayed the delivery of the ferries for so many years. Time and time again our communities have been let down by the SNP when it comes to our transport infrastructure."
“Transparency and accountability are fundamental to good government and, as we have seen repeatedly in recent weeks, these qualities are sadly lacking in Nicola Sturgeon’s failing administration.”
