Highlands and Islands Scottish Conservative MSP and Shadow Rural Economy Secretary Jamie Halcro Johnston said: “It’s great news to see this vital deal formerly signed by the United Kingdom, Scottish and local governments involved."

“It shows just what can be achieved when all our governments work together to a common end, something I’m sure more people would like to see happen more often.  It’s extremely encouraging to see such a range of innovative projects coming to our islands; projects which build on our local strengths in energy, technology and marine expertise."

“As we rebuild after the pandemic, it’s more important than ever that we focus on creating jobs and opportunities for people across the country. That must be a priority”.
