Councillor Liz Saggers has represented Caol and Mallaig since 2022.

Councillor Liz Saggers moved to the Highlands from Devon in 1980 with her two children.  She has a varied secretarial employment background, having worked for the Highland Hospice, the Highland Young Farmers Association and in the care sector.  She has also worked in a local accountancy practice.

Liz’s interests are now focussed on solving problems for her constituents in Ward 11, with particular emphasis on the shortage of affordable housing and the lack of care provision for the elderly. She also sits on the Redesign Board.

Liz sits on a varity of committee's on Highland Council, including:

  • Lochaber Committee
  • South Planning Applications Committee
